Polar Plunge 2013 for Special Olympics Indiana

Some members of the Valparaiso FD are teaming up with other members of the public safety sector (Police/Fire/EMS/Dispatch/ER staff) to take the plunge (into cold water that is) for Special Olympics Indiana. If you would like to join our team "Did Someone Say Emergency?!" contact Stephanie at ecmedic719@yahoo.com ASAP! You must raise a minimum pledge amount of $75, which is due that day. We have already obtained permission from the Fire Administration to wear VFD uniform/gear for this event. The plunge is taking place this Saturday, February 9th 2013 at Valparaiso University (the ARC). Registration starts at noon; the plunge starts at 1:15 pm. It generally takes a couple hours for everyone to plunge into their outdoor pool, followed by "The After Splash Bash" in the gym where you can warm up, eat, and participate in the awards. If you don't want to personally brave the cold water, feel free to stop by and cheer everyone on for this great cause!

what new legislation may effect us this year.
Thanks to all these members for going!
