Valpo Transit

The V-Line, ChicaGO Dash and the South Shore Connect Shuttle are public transportation services started by the City of Valparaiso. As a public transportation service, it is our goal to meet the needs of the greater Valparaiso community through low rates, efficient transportation, and community improvement.

The ChicaGO Dash is an express commuter bus operating from Downtown Valparaiso to Downtown Chicago. Five (5) buses leave Valpo every weekday morning and return from Chicago in the evenings. With Airplane-style seating, the Dash buses are equipped with free Wi-Fi, bike racks and lavatories to make your commute with comfort and ease. This service is brought to you by the City of Valparaiso and the Valparaiso Redevelopment Commission with financial support from the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority. Additional financial support comes from the Federal Transit Administration and the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission. Learn more about the ChicaGO DASH.

The V-Line is a deviated fixed route bus service for the citizens and visitors of Valparaiso, IN. V-Line routes can take you to popular destinations around our city, whether it be just down the street, across the city or downtown for an event. Many of our routes encompass the Valparaiso University campus and others integrate with the Northern Indiana Commuter Transit District (NICTD) service to get commuters to and from the South Shore station on time. The South Shore Connect has six (6) bus departures to Dune Park Train Station everyday, allowing you to travel to Chicago or South Bend with ease.
