The ChicaGo Dash is an express commuter bus service from Downtown Valparaiso to Downtown Chicago. Utilizing 53-passenger coach buses, the DASH allows you to travel in comfort to the vast employment, shopping, and educational opportunities of Chicago without the hassles of the traditional suburban commute. Lavatories, WI-FI, free parking, and even bike racks are just some of the great features offered by the DASH. Follow the links on the sidebar for more information.

This service is brought to you by the City of Valparaiso and the Valparaiso Redevelopment Commission with financial support from the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority. Additional financial support comes from the Federal Transit Administration and the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (NIRPC).

Good Afternoon Dash Commuters, 

The City Administration has approved free fares for the DASH and the South Shore Connect buses. Through January 1. 2021 the Ride is on us!  

As we work towards a COVID free time in our daily lives. The City of Valparaiso and our contractor Royal Excursion want you to feel safe in your daily commute to and from Chicago. We have taken all CDC and HHS guidance to protect you and our staff to minimize the risk and make your commute as safe and clean as we can. Buses are cleaned and disinfected nightly with our new Hospital Grade disinfecting fogger. This is the same unit used in our ambulance and EMS vehicles after every patient. Hand sanitizer and masks are available from all drivers. Just request one and they will be happy to assist you. The Transit ticket office will remain closed through January 1st, 2021 as well.
