The city engineer's office has many vital functions in the pulse of the city of Valparaiso's administration. Some of the many functions include:

Road Safety Audit
The City of Valparaiso is currently performing safety audits and assessments of various roads within the city. An important part of this effort is input from the public on how they perceive the safety of these roadways. Input is not limited to drivers of motorized vehicles, comments from those that walk, ride a bike or make use of the city bus system are equally encouraged to provide input.
