All buses Inservice will be cleaned and disinfected Nightly! The city has purchased an AeroClave disinfecting fogger that will be used on all bus’s biweekly. Same disinfecting as used in our ambulance and EMT vehicles for all pathogen disinfecting that follows CDC guidelines for clean surface protection.
We are asking all riders to please practice social distancing the best you can. Wear masks when social distancing within 6 feet is not an option. The drivers will be required to wear masks while loading and unloading passengers or when social distancing is not an option for them as well. Drivers will have masks and hand sanitizer available for passengers that request one. We have a goal of no more than 25 passengers per bus. You will not be turned away if that number is exceeded and another route will be put in place the next day when we have reached capacity. Fares will remain free through AUGUST 31. We ask that everyone works together as we strive to bring transit services back to full schedules and routes. The South Shore transit connect will also be running normal schedules 7 days a week to coincide with the Train schedules of the South Shore line.
Please if you are sick stay home, if you cough or sneeze do it into your elbow or a tissue not your hand. We wish to keep everyone safe and well riding our buses and need everyone's help to do this. Do not leave trash on the bus! Please throw it away in a trash can. Sanitizing will be done nightly on all buses and high touch areas. All transit fares for our city buses will remain free for all riders through AUGUST 31. Thank you and please stay safe and healthy.
