I am very passionate about active forms of transportation and feel like we need to encourage our city leaders to really go all in on building transportation infrastructure, not just for people in cars, but for people outside of them as well, like children. My daughter attends Cooks Corners and I have been making an effort to do pick ups/drop offs on our cargo bike. I have noticed how the kiddos light up when I pull up. They run up to the fence and will ask me a bunch of questions, haha, its pretty cool.
So, that got me thinking about a video that I saw recently about a school in Portland, OR where they have what they call the "Bike Bus". They have a large group that rides together once a week and it has really taken off. I think we should do this here.
