Adventure Camp (Ages 3 to 5 NOT entering Kindergarten)

Days: Monday – Friday
Half Day Camp:
Time: 9AM – 12PM Cost: $61/$73
Full Day Camp:
Time: 9AM – 3PM Cost: $83/$95

Campers will learn, grow, and explore throughout the summer with our planned weekly themes through nature, games, songs and crafts. Our daily plans are focused on encouraging socialization, boosting self-esteem, practicing active listening skills and bringing out your child’s imagination! The campers will enjoy special visitors throughout the summer and read picture books daily. All campers will receive a morning snack. Only extended campers will bring a lunch Monday-Thursday. Pizza Lunch will be provided on Friday’s. *Extended campers will have quiet time after lunch.

-Campers must bring there own lunch to eat at 11:30.
- Ages: 3-5 years old NOT entering Kindergarten in the Fall. If your child will be entering Kindergarten in the Fall 2016 they are eligible for Discovery Day Camp, not Adventure Camp

Week 1: Once Upon a Time (June 6 – June 10)
In a land far, far away campers came to play in an enchanted world. Our little princes and princesses will slay dragons, search for Cinderella’s shoes and play princess, princess, and witch. We will make princess crowns and swords, and even eat a magic wand snack fit for a Fairy Godmother. (Wacky Wednesday: Come dressed as a prince or a princess)
Week 2: Pint Sized Olympics (June 13 – June 17)
Whether you love the opening games or seeing all the different competitions, you will have a lot of fun when we make the Olympics Adventure Camp fun! We will make our own Olympic torches and rings. While competing in pom-pom hockey, teddy bear games and music speed skating. Campers will also win medals for playing in all of our Olympic games. We will end the week with INFLATABLES!

Week 3: Hotdog, Hotdog, Hot Diggity Dog (June 20 – June 24)
Does your camper love Disney! We sure do! Campers will loved making crafts and playing games from their favorite Disney shows and movies! Toodles treasure hunt, Pin the bow on Minnie, bobbing for Nemo and Buzz Lightyear’s Rocket Launch and much more await your little Disney fans this week!

Week 4: The Wacky World of Dr. Seuss (June 27 – July 1)
This camp is unlike any other. Don’t ask me why, go ask your mother. Spend a week immersed in a Seussical World with The Cat in the Hat, Horton, the Lorax and Things 1 and 2. We will spend our magic filled days with activities such as making a home for the Red Fish, and Blue fish, searching for the Cats lost hat, hopping on pop, and painting with the truffula trees, making OObleck, and making Dr. Seuss Soup. Campers will get to hear a different Dr. Seuss story each day! On Thursday camp will be held at Valplayso! Family Fun Night: June 30th

Week 5: Red, White, and Blue Spectacular (July 5 – July 8)
Blast off into a fun filled week with our little firecrackers! We will be celebrating the 4th of July adventure camp style. We will put our handprints in history when we make our own American Flags. Campers will enjoy activities playing tug-o-war, ring toss, as well as making their very own windsocks, fireworks and Uncle Sam hats! What 4th of July celebration would be complete without a parade! No camp on July 4th.

Week 6: Mad Scientist (July 11– July 15)
Campers will go mad while conducting experiments to figure out the answers to questions like, What do elephants use to brush their teeth, what makes slime so slimy, can you walk on eggs and can you freeze water with your hands? Campers will make elephant toothpaste, slime, balloon rockets, color changing milk and fizzy cloud dough. We will end the week with INFLATABLES!

Week 7: Construction (July 18 – July 22)
Can we build it? YES WE CAN! Let's explore the wonderful world of construction and building. Campers will build bird houses, sand castles, play dump trucks and Bulldozers (sharks and minnows) and much more. On Thursday camp will be held at Valplayso!

Week 8: Down on the Farm (July 25 – July 29)
Oink, Moo and Cock a doodle doo! What makes a farm so much fun? This week we will learn how to milk a cow, make stick ponies and find “Rosie” the hen’s lost eggs, we will even learn how to make butter and paint with corn. Maybe Old MacDonald’s little pigs will share their slop (Chex mix). We will end the week with an adventure camp rodeo. Family On Friday the Zoo to You program will visit camp from Michigan City Zoo. Week 9: Lip Sync (Aug 1 – Aug 5)
Lights, Camera, Action! Roll out the red carpet for our Oscar worthy performances! Campers will spend time this week practicing our very own dance routines as well as creating props to add some Hollywood glam to our performance for family and friends on Thursday Night!
Week 10: Splish, Splash (Aug 8 – Aug 12)
Splish, Splash why bother taking a bath, when campers will be wet head to toe from the time they arrive at camp until it is time to pack up for home! Campers will be soaked from head to toe while playing water balloon games, Drip, Drip, Drench, and driving thru our Kiddie Car Wash during this wet and wild last week of camp. We will end the week with INFLATABLES!
