Request for Proposal
The City of Valparaiso seeks proposals from qualified firms or organizations with experience in all aspects of public transportation operations, including experienced personnel. A contract for services will be entered into between the City and the successful contractor.
Prospective contractors may attend an optional pre-proposal meeting in-person or via telephone, with the meeting to be held on Monday February 25, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. (local time). In person attendees may meet at the Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce located at, 162 W. Lincolnway, Valparaiso, Indiana. Those attending via telephone may contact Transit Manager, Don Lorntzen at firstname.lastname@example.org, for call-in details. All proposals must be received by City of Valparaiso by 3:00 P.M. local time, on Thursday, April 11, 2019. No proposals shall be accepted after this time and date. The City of Valparaiso reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received.
Requests for exceptions, deviations or approved equals to the Request for Proposals and/or specifications must be submitted to City of Valparaiso no later than Tuesday March 1, 2019 4:00 P.M. local time. All questions must be submitted no later than Wednesday March 20, 2019, 3:00 P.M. local time.
Proposing firms must not be on the Comptroller General’s list of ineligible firms. The successful Respondent will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises shall be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals.
