Office Responsibilities
The Engineering Department has many vital functions in the pulse of the City of Valparaiso's administration. Some of the many functions include addressing, mapping, traffic counts, field inspections, plan review and approval, infrastructure design, project administration and management, and stormwater management.
Many of the activities of the Engineering Department directly affect the lives of Valparaiso citizens today and in the future. Whether it is land use, infrastructure improvements, traffic analysis and control, or storm drainage, our office is always striving to improve the quality of life for all residents throughout our community.
Infrastructure Improvements
The links below are a map and cost estimate of potential pavement improvement for 2024. Given the potential for differences in cost from this estimate through the bidding process, all the listed streets may not be paved.
