New Construction
Reviews and Applications
New construction projects require the following:
New Commercial Construction (includes multi-family)
New commercial projects require a review by the city's Site Review Committee. Please contact Sandy Biggs in the Planning Department for information and scheduling. A Site Review Application is required.
Commercial construction projects are reviewed by the city's Building, Engineering, and Planning Departments. Permit applications for each department are available below:
Site Permit Application (Engineering Department)
Zoning Clearance Application (Planning Department)
In addition, the State of Indiana requires commercial projects to be reviewed for code compliance by the IDHS Plan Review Division. For information on this process or to submit a project please visit the State of Indiana Plan Review for Construction Design Release webpage.
New Residential Construction (one-and-two family dwellings)
A complete list of contractors is required to be submitted with permit application.
